Conscientious Objection Watch’s (COW) mission is to achieve legal recognition of conscientious objection in Turkey. It aims to make visible the violations of rights experienced by conscientious objectors due to the lack of regulations on conscientious objection, and carries out documentation, monitoring, reporting at national and international level and legal support. To fulfil our mission, we work to raise public awareness of the right to conscientious objection as well as lobbying at regional and international human right bodies about the situation of conscientious objectors in Turkey.
