Askeri darbeler, yaşandığı her coğrafyada, insan hakları ihlallerini de beraberinde getirmiştir. Ordunun silah zoru kullanarak yönetime el koyduğu her yerde, şiddet daha da kurumsallaşmış ve darbeye tanık olan toplumlar bir şiddet sarmalı içerisine sıkıştırılmıştır. 15 Temmuz akşamından bu yana, yaşadığımız topraklarda tanık olduğumuz süreç de, bu şiddet sarmalının bir benzerini deneyimlememize sebep oluyor. Bir yandan “Yurtta Sulh Konseyi” ile birlikte askeri darbe senaryoları uygulamaya konulurken, bir yandan da buna karşı AKP iktidarının giriştiği sözde “demokratik hamleler” gündemde.
Bu denklem, AKP’nin gücü tek elde toplayarak iktidarı daha da merkezileştirmesine, totaliter yöntemleri arttırarak uygulamasına olanak sağlayacaktır. Bu sürecin devamında kolluk güçleri, bizatihi iktidar tarafından doğrudan kontrol altına alınabilecek; “demokratikleşme” adı altında faşizm ve militarizm daha da kurumsallaştırılacaktır.
Dün akşam, Erdoğan iktidarına karşı girişilen darbe sırasında sokağa çıkan insanların üzerine kurşun yağdırılmış ve sayısız kişi öldürülmüştür. Öte yandan iktidar “darbenin halk tarafından püskürtüldüğünü” söylüyor olsa da, sokağa çıkanların söylemlerine bakılınca, dün akşamdan bu yana iktidar tarafından sokağa yapılan çağrılar ve bu çağrılara uyarak sokaklara çıkanlar, bir demokratikleşme hamlesinden öte, faşist bir mobilizasyonun en somut halidir. Dün Erdoğan’ın sıklıkla söylediği “Ben Başkomutanım” cümlesi, militarizmin ve militarist kültürün daha da perçinlenmesine zemin olmuştur.
Zorunlu askerlik yasası gereğince emir altında olan askerler, Kürdistan’da katliam yapar ve şehirleri yıkarken “kahraman”, orada öldüklerinde “şehit” ilan edilirken; aynı emir-komuta zinciri altında darbe hareketinin içerisinde yer aldıktan sonra yakalanan veya teslim olan zorunlu askerler, sokaklarda lince ve işkenceye maruz kaldılar. Medyada, kafası kesilen asker fotoğrafları yer alıyor. Ölmeyi ve öldürmeyi reddeden vicdani retçiler, “emre itaatsizlik” suçlamalarıyla yargılanırken, üstlerinin emirlerine itaat eden askerler şimdi vatana ihanet suçlamasıyla karşı karşıyalar.
İçinden geçmekte olduğumuz bu süreçte, elbette ki askere gitmemek, eline silah almamak önemlidir; ancak ne yazık ki yeterli değildir. Dün gece Atatürk Havalimanı’nda “Vur de vuralım, öl de ölelim!” diyenler, sözde “demokratik” bir amaçla sokağa çıkıp linç kültürünü örgütleyenler, “Kan dökenleri tebrik ediyorum” diyen politikacılar; militer ve para-militer bir şiddet sarmalının açıkça uygulamaya konulduğunu göstermektedir.
Bu süreçte biz vicdani retçilere düşen, bir yandan eline silah almayı ve zorunlu askerliği reddetmek, bir yandan da sıkıştırılmak istendiğimiz bu şiddet sarmalına ve militarist dayatmaya karşı direnmektir.

Let’s Resist against the Spiral of Violence and Militarist Imposition
Military coups have brought along human rights violations in every location they have taken place. In every place where the army has taken control by force, the violence has been further institutionalized and the societies who witness the coups have been stuck in spirals of violence. The process we have been living since July 15 night is making us experience a variety of this spiral of violence. On one side military coup scenarios are being put into practice by “Peace at Home Council”, on the other side AKP government’s so called “democratic moves” are on the agenda.
This equation will enable AKP to further centralize the government by gathering the power in one hand and apply the totalitarian methods even more. Later in this process, the law enforcement forces can be controlled directly by the government; fascism and militarism will be more institutionalized under the name of “democratization”.
Yesterday night, the people who were on the streets during the military coup attempt against Erdoğan’s government were rained bullets and countless people were killed. On the other hand, even though the government says that “the coup has been suppressed by the public”, the calls made by the government and the people who have been in the streets upon these calls since yesterday night are a fascist mobilization rather than a democratization move. The sentence “I’m the Chief Commander” which Erdoğan repeated oftentimes yesterday provides a basis for militarism and militarist culture to strengthen even more so.
The soldiers who were under orders in accordance with the obligatory military service law were being declared “heroes” while they were destroying cities in Kürdistan and “martyrs” when they died doing so; on the other hand, the soldiers who got arrested or surrendered after taking part in the military coup attempt under the same chain of command were subjected to torture and lynch on the streets. In the media, there are photos of soldiers whose throats were cut. While the conscientious objectors who refuse to die and kill are being charged with “insubordination”, the soldiers who obey orders of their superiors are facing charges of “high treason”.
During the process we are living through, refusing military service, not taking up arms is of course important; but unfortunately it is not enough. Yesterday night in Atatürk Airport, the people shouting “Kill for you, die for you!”, the politicians saying “Congratulations to who have spilled blood.”; clearly show that a militarist and para-militarist spiral of violence has been set to motion.
Our part in this process as conscientious objectors is not only to refuse obligatory military service and taking up arms but also to resist getting stuck in this spiral of violence and against the militarist imposition.

COMUNICADO DE Asociación de Objetores de Conciencia de Turquía
“RESISTAMOS CONTRA LA ESPIRAL DE VIOLENCIA Y LA IMPOSICIÓN MILITAR
Los golpes militares han traído consigo violaciones a los derechos humanos en cualquier lugar donde hayan ocurrido. En cada lugar donde el ejército ha tomado el control por la fuerza, la violencia ha sido más institucionalizada y las sociedades que son testigo de los golpes se han atascado en espirales de violencia. El proceso que hemos estado viviendo desde la noche del 15 de julio nos ha hecho experimentar una variedad de esta espiral de violencia. Por un lado el escenario del golpe militar está siendo puesto en práctica por “El Consejo de Paz en Casa”, y por el otro, el gobierno del AKP ha puesto en su agenda lo que llaman “movimientos democráticos”.
Esta ecuación permitirá al AKP centralizar aún más el gobierno mediante la acumulación de poder por un lado y la mayor aplicación de métodos totalitarios por el otro. Además con en este proceso, las fuerzas policiales pueden ser controladas directamente por el gobierno, el fascismo y el militarismo estarán aún más institucionalizados bajo el nombre de la “democratización”.
Ayer en la noche, la gente que estaba en las calles durante el intento de golpe militar contra el gobierno de Erdoğan fue rafagueada con balas y un incontable número de personas fueron asesinadas. Por el otro lado, aunque el gobierno diga que “el golpe fue suprimido por el pueblo”, los llamados hechos por el gobierno y las personas que acudieron al llamado desde ayer son parte de una movilización fascista más que de un movimiento de democratización. La frase “Yo soy el Comandante en Jefe” que Erdoğan repitió varias veces ayer provee una base para el militarismo y para que se fortalezca aún más la cultura militarista.
Los soldados que estaban bajo las órdenes del servicio militar obligatorio fueron declarados como “héroes”, mientras estaban destruyendo ciudades en el Kurdistán y “mártires” cuando morían haciendo eso; por el otro lado los soldados que fueron arrestados y se rindieron tras formar parte en el intento de golpe militar bajo la misma cadena de mando fueron sujetos a tortura y fueron linchados en las calles. En los medios de comunicación hay fotos de soldados cuyas gargantas fueron cortadas. Mientras que los objetores de conciencia quienes se rehúsan a morir y matar están siendo enjuiciados por “insubordinación”, los soldados que obedecen las órdenes de sus superiores están enfrentando cargos de “alta traición”.
Durante el proceso que estamos viviendo, rehusar hacer el servicio militar, no tomar las armas, es por supuesto importante: pero desafortunadamente no es suficiente. Ayer en la noche en el aeropuerto Atatürk, la gente gritaba “Mata por tí, muere por tí!”, los políticos decían “Felicidades a aquellos que han derramado sabre”; claramente nos muestran que una espiral de violencia militarista y paramilitar ha sido puesta en práctica.
Nuestra parte en este proceso como objetores de conciencia no es solo de rehusar el servicio militar obligatorio y la toma de armas, pero también es resistir en quedar atascados en esta espiral de violencia contra esta imposición militarista.
